Refund Policy
Information on subscription billing, withdrawal, and auto-renewal.
Effective date: May 5, 2026
1. Payment Method
- RecipeKey premium subscriptions are processed exclusively through the in-app purchase systems of mobile operating system providers (“Stores”), such as Google Play and the Apple App Store.
- All payment, refund, and cancellation processing is performed directly by the Stores. The Company does not retain direct payment information such as card numbers.
- The currently available subscription products are:
- Monthly subscription: KRW 3,900 / month
- Annual subscription: KRW 29,900 / year (approx. KRW 2,490 / month)
2. Free Trial
- A 7-day free trial is offered to first-time subscribers only.
- If the subscription is not canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial, the registered payment method will be charged automatically and the recurring subscription will begin.
- If you cancel during the trial period, no charges will be made, and you may continue to use premium features until the end of the trial.
3. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
- Subscriptions automatically renew on the next billing date. If not canceled at least 24 hours before renewal, payment will be processed automatically.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the following paths:
- Android: Google Play app → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- iOS: Settings app → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- After cancellation, premium features remain active until the end of the already-paid period, after which the account automatically reverts to the free plan (5 extractions per week).
- Even after reverting to the free plan, your saved recipes and account information are preserved.
4. Withdrawal and Refund (Rights under Korean Law)
- Under Article 17 of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Users may request withdrawal within 7 days from the delivery date (subscription start date).
- However, due to the nature of digital content, withdrawal may be restricted in the following cases:
- When premium features have been used during the subscription period (for example, when the unlimited extraction feature has been used): refunds for the portion already consumed may be restricted.
- Pursuant to Article 17 (2) 5 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and its enforcement decree, withdrawal may be restricted for portions of goods that have already been used or partially consumed.
- Even within the withdrawal-eligible period, when use is clearly evident, the Company will process refunds through reasonable means such as settlement with the Store and pro-rata refunds for unused days.
5. Refund Procedure
- Refund requests can be made through one of the following two channels:
- Direct request to the Store: Refunds are processed directly by the Store under Google Play / App Store policies. (Google: self-service refund within 48 hours of purchase. Apple: separate request required.)
- Direct inquiry to the Company: Send your purchase receipt and refund reason to [email protected]. We will review and respond.
- For transactions for which a refund has been approved by the Store, the Company will immediately revoke premium privileges from the corresponding account.
- Refund processing time follows the Store's policies, typically 3 to 14 business days.
6. Full Refund Cases
The Company will refund the full payment in any of the following cases:
- When the User has not used any premium features after payment
- When the User was unable to use the Service normally due to causes attributable to the Company
- When the purchased service was not provided
- When the actual features provided differ materially from those described or advertised, or when normal use is impossible due to a defect on the Company's side
7. Cases Where Refunds Are Restricted
- When use of the Service has been restricted because the Company has established, through objective evidence (logs, reports, etc.), that the User violated this policy or applicable laws
- For premium features that have already been used (refunds are limited to the unused portion, given the nature of digital content)
- When more than 7 days have passed since the auto-renewal following the free trial. Reasonable cases (such as missed billing notice) will be reviewed separately by the Company.
- Portions provided free or at a discount through promotions, discount codes, etc.
8. Price Changes
- The Company may change subscription prices and will notify Users via email or in-Service announcement at least 30 days before the effective date.
- For existing subscribers, the previous price will be maintained until the next renewal date before the change takes effect, and Users may cancel before the next renewal.

This Refund Policy takes effect on May 5, 2026. Any matters not specified in this policy follow applicable laws and the Company's Terms of Service.
